Filled to the brim with beautiful kilims, ethnic cushions, and original art, I fell in love when I caught a glimspe of Sara Schmidt Hauge's home in Elle Decoration Norway. Sara has a talent for mixing some of today's most coveted modern designs with cultural pieces to create a home that's warm and soulful.

In the dining room, industrial chic pendants are hung over a wooden table surrounded by classic wishbone chairs. Sara brings the varying styles together with beautiful bright orange kilims and a Native-American table runner.

Even the smallest elements in this Norwegian home are absolutely beautiful, and nod to Sara's love of cultural style. Porcupine quills are bunched together to create a unique "bouquet"of natural elements.
On your next visit to the bookstore I recommend picking up an issue of Elle Decoration Norway, or any of the international versions of the magazine. I promise you'll be absolutely inspired by the global style that's being presented in home decor around the world.
