HP Designer Matchup Challenge from AphroChic on Vimeo.
I am so excited to take you inside the events I attended last week as part of the HP Designer Matchup Challenge. The video above is a beautiful compilation of the designer mashups, and reveals our new wallpaper pattern that was created in collaboration with Emily Henderson and all of you!

At the Project Runway 10th Anniversary party at Lord & Taylor our group of designers and bloggers walked the red carpet. I have to admit, it was a very cool moment!

Me and Emily Henderson at the Lord & Taylor party.

The designers from Project Runway Season 10 were at the party. They stayed for a bit, but had to run off to get ready for the Runway show on Friday.

Bryan and I had a chance to talk to Nathan Paul of Season 10. He is up to some fantastic work, including his recent efforts to craft new legislation to establish new sizing requirements for women's clothing.

I was extremely excited to meet designer Korto Momolu. She is one of my favorite Project Runway stars!

Our new wallpaper pattern was revealed on Thursday. We worked in collaboration with designer Emily Henderson to develop some beautiful colorways, updating an archival AphroChic print created by Samantha Hahn. And yes, I know some of you are already wondering, this paper will be for sale later this year!

On Friday morning we all went to the Project Runway finale fashion show. It was pretty amazing to see the work of the designers up close and personal, and to be in the same room as Heidi, Tim, Michael, and Nina. Eight designers presented so the audience didn't know who the final three were.

Heidi Klum was absolutely radiant in beautiful golden gown. Here she is seated next to the fabulous Michael Kors.

Nina Garcia was seated next to the surprise guest judge, Jennifer Hudson!

I have to admit I geeked out when Jennifer came out. She is gorgeous, graceful, and I love her work as both an actress and singer.

Debra Messing was also in the crowd. I just love her in Smash!

I had such a wonderful time getting to know the other amazing designers and bloggers who participated in the HP Designer Matchup Challenge. What a fabulous week!
You can see more images from my week on the AphroChic Facebook page and on the AphroChic Instagram page. Enjoy!
For a recap of this challenge, in partnership with Design Milk, Project Runway sponsor HP is presenting the HP Designer Matchup Challenge. Inspired by the 10th season of Project Runway, the challenge brought together five bloggers and the designers of their choice to collaborate on developing a special product. The most exciting part, we needed your help to create a product that was revealed during New York Fashion Week. This post is sponsored by HP. For my participation I have received an HP Touchsmart, and was sent to New York for fashion week events and the season finale of Project Runway.
